'He was done looking for a dog because he’d rather have her': Little kitty found on backroad in rural area, woman's father falls head over heels for her and they seek advice on how to keep her with their 2 cats at home

A cat that's lost and found and without a microchip will become yours – trust the cat distribution system. 

This little kitty was found on a rural back road. She cried and circled a car until it stopped for her. The woman driving didn't want to leave the poor thing there alone, so she took her home that night. She posted all over looking for her family (if she had one). At the vet she realized that the cat didn't have a microchip, so she knew she could keep her. But there are caveats and she goes to the internet's advice to understand what the best course of action is. She already has two cats at home, and needs a safe way to introduce this new one to them. She asks about getting a gate or some sort. Her father, Papa, falls head over heels for this little cat, despite not being a cat person and trying to get a dog. A dog no more, they decide to keep this cat, who they name Petal. How do they figure out the physical barrier? Read more to find out.

  • The cat distribution system works in mysterious ways. Sometimes it's not the thing we expect at that time, but the serendipity of it all is what makes it so special. Even her father who's known for not liking cats becomes attached to the little thing. He was even on his way to getting a dog, but he can't forget this kitten's love. Sometimes the best things come in small, furry sizes off the side of the road in a rural area.

  • I know what it's like to have to blend worlds together. It may not be comfortable at first, but eventually the pets will all get along. My cat was alone with me for years until I got another cat, and he really liked it like that. Unfortunately for him, I did get another cat. It was difficult at first, and my cat resisted a lot. There were fights, meows, broken glasses, and ripped furniture. But now the two of them get along purrfectly, which just goes to show you can really do the impossible if you put your mind to it.
